Case studies

In order to indicate what you could expect from IMS and Mod4U®, we have added a number of short case studies below.

Standard product
A expeditor and courier decided in 1997 to switch from other software to a standard Mod4U product, which is deployed for accounting.

The owner listed the most distinctive features from her perspective as follows:

  • Simple to use. Moving icons (drag/drop) is very user friendly, we don't need much knowledge of accounting to perform data-entry.
  • The possibility to enter multiple currencies is quite useful.
  • The accounting includes extensive and flexible reports.
  • Productsupport is sufficient in terms of response-time (usually within 24 hours) and the level of administrative knowledge is good.

Standard product with tailor-made additions
A publisher of books, eBooks and CD-ROM's, works with a standard Mod4U product plus tailor-made additions since 1997. The software is used for accounting, CRM and stock administration, which includes several stocktypes and stock locations.

The owner listed the most distinctive features from his perspective as follows:

  • Extensive possibilities to adapt the software to our specific needs.
  • Fast data entry in comparison with many other products, where requirements related to data-entry and reports are met.

He also stated that his company has saved a lot of costs in the phase of development, because of the administrative knowledge and insight of IMS.

Within the framework of the existing relationship, they have later decided to also take services for webdevelopment from IMS. Part of those services were sponsored by EU funds for innovation.

Tailor-made software
A organization which provides vocational and management training for the Dutch cleaning branch is using Mod4U software for registration of students, organizing classes, examinations and the processing of exam results. Using a portal website, customers can enter and consult relevant data. The software at the office and Internet are part of a integrated tailor-made Extranet solution, which is mission critical for the them.

The responsible manager listed the most distinctive features of IMS from his perspective as follows:

  • The relationship is really a co-operation. Since we have less knowledge regarding technical issues, we can expound our wishes and requirements to IMS. We can then discuss those with IMS thoroughly, to learn more about technical limits, possibilities and possible consequences. The descisions which are taken then, are clear and univocal for all who are concerned. A good information analysis phase precedes a smooth implementation phase. In the past we have had much different experiences with other suppliers.
  • Furthermore IMS functions as a constructive co-thinker related to further functional development and other improvements of the system.
  • Moreover, the service of IMS is definitely 'simply well'.

Within the framework of the existing relationship, IMS also delivered services which were sponsored by EU funds for regional development.
